Happy Anniversary!

Last friday, Stu and I celebrated our 11th wedding anniversary. Well, celebrated is the wrong word. He worked and then I worked so we only saw each other for about an hour that day, lol. But thats ok, thats why we went to Vegas in March :).

I love you, my silly...

sometimes hairy...

and always handsome...

husband. May we have many more wonderful years to share together.

p.s. I should have some really exciting news to share in the next week or so, stay tuned....

p.s.s. Just kidding, no new news yet. Just trying to get ya to stay tuned ;)

Almost Wordless Wednesday!

The ewww edition.

Our camera does not take really close up shots very well. I decided at this time that this is a good thing.

There are two spiders stuck in that pencil lid. TWO! ick.

New calling

I'm now the Assistant Cub Master. I will be a sucky one right off the bat though, lol. I will not be attending any pack meetings but I will help plan/prepare for them. So I guess I can't be too sucky ;) and yes, I will be keeping my Assistant Librarian calling too, because its a sunday only calling I guess they feel its ok to have two :). I don't mind too much though, its an easy gig and I can knit or do homework as the case may be.

A few photos just for you...(because I know how much more fun that makes the blog)

Pics of the kids at USU in the office where my sister and b-i-l work. They are wildlife biologists.

Littleman was not pleased to learn that he couldn't take his "new coat" home :P.

Ramble ramble, blah, blah. blah

Work is going well. I'm finally getting out of the boring stuff and into what I'll actually be doing. Yeah, it will be repetitious and could get boring, but talking to different people will be fun. Next week I'll be on the phones doing my real job :)

My house was so clean last week! But this week its a mess and I'm too tired to care. I am getting more and more busy as the days go on. Not sure that I enjoy that one too much.

I also got a new calling, I haven't been sustained yet so I can't announce what it is yet. Just one more thing to add to my long list of stuff to do. I guess thats part of life :)

And I interviewed for a 2nd job yesterday. This one will be working from home, which is nice with these gas prices we have to deal with now. Hopefully I get the job and can start working soon. It will take awhile to start making real money, but it can happen :)

I will be enrolling the kids in the public school online program. They will be at home still but will have a teacher they meet with weekly and the school district will make the lesson plans, which is what I need help with now. Plus they'll have all the state and federal testing, which will be nice to have if we do end up sending them back to public school. I have lots of paperwork to do for that and LittleMan has to get some immunizations, he doesn't know that yet though ;).

Stu likes his new job, much less stress, which makes me happy :). He posted about it on his blog if you want to learn more about it (shameless plug for my hunny's blog :) ). They may be hiring for at-home help fairly soon too, so I may go for that as well. We'll see, I think I'm getting ahead of myself a little bit ;)

I have begun looking at houses online and have fallen in love with a kitchen in a home thats just down the street from me. I may go through it in a week or so, if its still there then :).

Thats my long rambling and boring update for this week. Until next time.....

ETA: I walk about a mile a day, 1/2 to work and about 1/2 from work (I start walking while Stu comes to pick me up, I try to get farther from the office than the last time, but so far it hasn't happened, lol.) So my ticker is moving but not fast enough, I probably wont make the July 4th goal but thats ok. Its getting me moving again. If I start riding my bike home from work, I will make it for sure but for now I'll walk.

Look Mom!!

a dollar menu!

Said by M at Michaels craft store, in the dollar section. Think we go out for fast food too often? :)

First day of work.

Today is the day. I will be starting training at 3 pm. I'm a little nervous but mostly just tired, lol.

My in-laws will be watching the kids for 2 hours every day until I'm done with training and my schedule begins later, so dh can watch the kids. And one of my in-laws will be watching the kids at my house! So I have to go scrub every nook and cranny :P

I may not be blogging as much as I used to, we'll see how things work out. I may get into a great routine and be all organized, but I doubt it :). I still homeschool the kids, I still make as much of our food from scratch as I can, and I still love being online, tee hee. But I'm trying to substitute knitting for my online addiction because I can knit outside at the park or in the backyard or even in the kitchen while the kids play with playdough. I guess you'll just have to add me to your bloglines or googlenews or whatever the blog tracker sites are, that way you wont have to check back daily and see the same old post sitting there :)

A short update on the post below, about k-bull, they are apologizing, in person, this morning. I'm glad that they want to make Melinda feel better. I'm glad that the dj's are apologizing. I'm not sure that I'll listen to k-bull again for awhile, but this is a good step for them.

Have a great week!

Hypocrites suck!

A local radio station, one that I listen to regularly, boasts about their support of our Troops and their families. They have contests regularly for the families of deployed soldiers. I always thought it was wonderful that they did this because not many radio stations have contests for the families alone, its for anyone that wants to play.

I read a blog post yesterday, from Emily about a friend that "won" and how poorly she was treated. It really made me mad, how can a person treat another human being that way and go on to pretend that it never happened? I listened to KBULL quite a bit yesterday, while traveling to and from Logan, and several times they talked about supporting the troops and their families. Bologna!

Pass the message along and help show everyone KBULL's true side, that they are a bunch of liars that couldn't help one person out or even apologize for a simple mistake. Stupid.

Birthday Pics

Sorry for posting these so late, but life is.....crazy.

First up is the cake. Not too bad for a little sandwich baggie and "quick, make spidey's face so we can eat"

Next up is the "they are singing for me" picture.

Blowing out the candles.

And "eww, the smoke is stinky" lol.

Monday, April 30, 2007

Happy Birthday LittleMan!

My baby is 5 today, five! I can't tell you how old that makes me feel :P.

I will post a picture of him blowing out candles later tonight. He wants to make sure we sing "you growl like a tiger and you scratch like one too" rather than "you look like a monkey and you smell like one too" lol.

My LittleMan is definitely a mama's boy. He has a quick temper (the redhead temper stereotype is real for him, lol) but he has the cutest smile! And he is so smart and funny. I love his laugh and how proud he is to be a big boy.

"Mom, I want you to measure me to see how much I grew cause I'm 5 now. I'm 5!" Hehe, ok big guy, I will.

I love you, my LittleMan!

I don't want to ever talk, think, hear about

School vouchers ever again!

I have been working on this stupid paper for weeks, weeks! And if you know me at all, you know I'm a procrastinator. But this time I have tried really hard to work diligently on this stupid paper. I hate it, I hate everything about it. And no, I'm not done. When is it due? today!

I have 5 written pages done (need 12-18), the title page and abstract, summary, general info page, contents page and bibliography. I just need to finish the piece of crap paper! Gah!!

So my 12-18 page paper I was stressed about at the beginning of the paper? Its really 22-25 pages long and if I knew that at the beginning I probably would've had a heart attack :P.

Update!! I'm writing the conclusion page and then I'm done! Well, gotta review it and then I can send it off :)

Final update! I am done! and I'm about to send it off. So happy to be done.

Please let me pass so I don't have to write another 18 page paper, lol. Please :)

Its the little things....

As part of the interview process for my job, I was asked to take a personality test. This test consisted of true or false questions like "I get easily stressed in high pressure situations." or "I hate to sit for long periods of time." My favorite question was "I am easily amused."

I said "true" to the easily amused question and those of you that know me, I sit for long periods of time, daily.

What amuses me today? I'm currently sitting on my couch typing, online, on my computer! I know!! Technology is amazing. And I love. Love. My new wireless router :)

I'm officially.....

gainfully employed. I'm not going to say the name of the place but I will say that I'll be taking calls from people wanting to activate their American Express card. Jealous? Oh I bet!

I don't start until May 7th, so I can focus on finals and then get a little break before starting my job.

One step closer to purchasing a home! :)

He is growing up!

M is small for his age, but he is fast and smart and lots of fun :). He is also pretty determined and stubborn, which is a good thing most of the time.

On Saturday I decided to finally get new tubes for M's bike. He has been bugging me for a long time! When I came home from the store he said "I want you to take the training wheels off my bike too" I said "ok, sounds good." But I was a bit nervous because he hasn't really ridden his bike, even with the training wheels. But he is almost 7 (in August) and very coordinated, so lets give it a try.

sorry he is so far away, we took him to the Church parking lot to ride and this is all I got.

Now to get LittleMan riding so I can take them out while I run :)

Too late!

I was early to school last week, waiting for my fellow group members to show up so we could practice for our project. There are four people in my group and two were pretty late. "M" and I were chatting while we waited and we somehow got onto the subject of our parents age. I said that my mom was 52 and "M" looking very surprised said "I thought you were in your 40's!!! Not that you look like it, cause you don't. You look totally young. I just thought that you said you were in your 40's. But you really don't....."

Um...yeah, I'm 31. Thanks for that :P

I'll blame it on my allergies. My forehead trying to blow off my face from all the pressure has to be making me look older. Yeah, sounds good to me.

You know what time of year it is!

Thats right!

Rocket time! We had a ton of fun yesterday, launching rockets again. Littleman got the biggest workout, he had to run all the way across the field, his rocket almost went over the fence. But he is ok with that since his rocket went the highest ;)

Your attention please :)

I created another blog, one dedicated to my knitting (and other crafts). I have the link on the sidebar, here it is just in case http://queenmeadow.wordpress.com/

I will be adding my "old" knitting stuff from here over to there and then this one can stay more rambly and kid oriented ;)

100 miles in 3 months

I joined runagogo, a group of crafters (knitters, crochet, sewing, etc) trying to get out and get moving. I have been a slacker with my exercise lately and with the weather warming up, I thought that this would be a great time to start.

April 1st to July 4th will be the challenge to run, walk, bike, crawl ;), 100 miles. I plan on running but I'm sure there will be walking mixed in, hehe.

Feel free to join me or to yell at me if my mileage ticker, on the top of the page, doesn't move for several days, lol.

Thursday, March 29, 2007

I get to join...

those of you that are cool bloggers and actually get hits on your blog from search engine searches.

My most recent, and maybe my fave.....

"boys farted in gym" um...?

or a little bizarre, but at least it isn't gross...

"meadows well stocked half marathon" I ran one that was but it wasn't mine ;)

and last but not least, the tame one.

"queenmeadow"

Update on paper

The paper I blogged about a few days ago. I received the grade today, 9/10. My professor is incredibly picky, so frustratingly so that I'm pretty freaked out about writing the final paper (12-15 freaking pages long!!). But the grade is good on this paper so I guess if I can suck it up and take criticism from him, it wont be too bad.

He said my thesis statement wasn't enough to the point. Let me show you my final draft of the thesis statement.

"Without assistance, only those born into wealth will have the opportunity to receive the kind of education that gives them an advantage over those who would otherwise be stuck in a never-ending cycle of under privilege and societal discrimination, i.e.: discrimination from higher social classes."

He also said that I'm trying too hard. Um...yeah, I wonder why :P

I'm just happy that this is my final English class because I think my head is going to explode. As you all can tell, I'm not a good writer and this is really sucking.

Any smarty pants writers reading right now?

I'm writing a controversial research paper for my class this semester. My problem is that I tend to get wordy, I know! its shocking ;) My other problem is that I don't like controversy, lol. So I keep trying to soften the "blow" of my thesis statement.

I need to turn in a report that includes my thesis statement (and the bibliography, so its not the whole paper yet) but its so wordy and doesn't feel right yet.

Here it is...

In order to increase the success of all students, those that are less economically privileged that are unable to pay for private schools, school vouchers will provide the means necessary for parents to choose a school that they feel will benefit their child the most therefore increase the success rate of their child.

My paper is on School Vouchers and I had to choose a side so I went with the side for vouchers.

Help!!! fast too, please :) Its due in 4.5 hours, eek!

Fish heads, fish heads....

rolly polly fish heads, fish head fish heads, eat them up. Yum!

We had dinner at the In-Laws house last night. Mother-in-law asked Little Man if he liked fish, he said yes so she gave him some dried sardines to try. He looks at them and said "ooh, they have teeth!" and then put them in his mouth "Yum!" She gave him a bunch more and he happily munched on the little icky things.

Stu says "you didn't pull the heads off?" I said "I've never seen them before, I don't know how to eat them!" he said "I guess if he doesn't mind"

So yeah, I think I'll tell him that he can never complain about my cooking again, now that he has eaten whole, dried fish.

Jealous?

This food review is inspired by foodie, since she has been critiquing food a lot lately, thought she'd like something new to try.

Zion

I drove back down to southern Utah with my older sister. We wanted to go hike Zion on Saturday since the weather was beautiful and I don't remember ever going there. Pretty sad since I've lived in Utah most of my life :).

I love this place :)

I love the layering of the mountain and all the colors.

The "bathtub", just thought it was cool.

This tree was struck by lighting, see the stripe going down it? it twists all the way around the tree, down to the base.

This is my mom, she'll hate me for posting her picture but too bad ;). This is what happens when my dad decides to ditch us, we stand by the edge because he makes us hug the mountain while we hike. He is scared of heights and can't stand anyone by the edge, hehe.

We made it to the top!! It only took 3 hours!!! And I stupidly wore pants, not just pants but black pants! I recommend you wear shorts if you hike when its 85+ degrees.

Vacation

I have lots of pictures to show and I'll make small comments. We'll let the pictures tell about the trip :)

This is the jacuzzi tub in our room :)

This is the wonderful pillowtop mattress with the down comforter and down pillows. Heaven!

The shower and sink, notice the glass instead of plastic cups, lol.

Ok, moving on to Hoover Dam where Stu took the boys (I was sick and needed to stay close to the potty ;) )

The boys can't be in a picture without posing something like this...

And the Dam, wish I could've gone, maybe next year :)

We also saw KA from Cirque de Soleil (I'm sure I butchered the spelling but I'm too lazy to look it up). It was good but I recommend getting the program first, we were pretty lost as far as the story goes.

I had a great time and so did the kids. I'm pretty sure they didn't want to come home after all the fun they had with the aunt and uncle.

I have returned!

Last night we returned from warm and enjoyable, Las Vegas. I have lots of fun pictures to share but they must wait. I was sick all week, it was no fun, with a UTI and am about to go to the dr. I will try to post when I return but I am leaving town once again. I am going back down to Southern Utah to hang out with my sister and parents with no kids :). If I don't get a chance to post before I leave, I'll post on Monday for sure!

Yum!!

I made this yummalicious soup on Friday! I got the recipe from Frugalmom who got it, and modified it, from kerflop. I modified it slightly as well and it was divine! I had some for lunch on saturday and plan on finishing the rest off today for lunch.

Tangy Potato Soup
6 medium to large russet potatoes. Peel 4, leave the skin on 2, and dice into 3/4 inch pieces
2 cans low-sodium chicken broth
1 8 oz package cream cheese
2 tbsp dried minced onion
1 1/2 cups milk
2 tbsp flour
1 cup cooked, crumbled bacon (I used the precooked kind I buy in a big bag at Costco, about 12 oz bacon cooked would yield a cup of bacon)

Put potatoes, chicken broth, cream cheese and onion in a big soup pot. Bring to a boil. Add milk which has been mixed with flour to dissolve lumps. Simmer until potatoes are tender (15-20 minutes). Season with salt and pepper. Add bacon and serve.

*my changes, I had no dried minced onion so I used onion salt (out of onion powder too, oops) about 1 tablespoon. I also added about 2 teaspoons of course ground pepper. And I used 8 smallish potatoes because thats all I had. Then garnished with graded medium sharp cheese, delish!

Why Gmail, Why?

Dear Gmail,

I have been a loyal subscriber to your email services for a very long time. I have invited friends and family to use your service, I even dropped my hotmail email account to use you exclusively and this morning? You don't allow me to log on. Oh sad sad day.

I have emails to read! don't you understand?

*sigh*

My Oh So Sweet, Little Man.

My kids have an hour to an hour and a half of "Quiet Time" in their rooms every afternoon. They can draw, read, play with quiet toys, listen to music, nap, whatever they want within reason. I usually let one of the boys "sleep" in my room during quiet time so the other has their room to "sleep" in. When its Little Man's turn to be in their bedroom he usually cleans! How sweet is that? He'll take a notebook, pen, pencil and books with him but he almost always ends up cleaning the room instead. And he's only 4, well he'll be 5 at the end of April, sigh.

I really am spoiled ;) (and so is M, lol)

Sunday, February 25, 2007

I am so spoiled!

I'm currently in my third year of college, I'm going part-time and its taking an eternity! Anyway, I've wanted a laptop for quite awhile now, so we decided to take the plunge and sell my desktop and get me a laptop. I'm typing on it right now :)

I love it!! Its a Sony Vaio and its cute and fun and its mine and did I mention that its cute? Cause it is :) Oh and we got it on sale so its cheaper than shown in that link, woot.

I'll take a pic later and post it so you can see how cute it is. I can't take it to school yet because I don't have a bag for it, lol. But I will make one or buy one soon. Its a little bigger than I planned, but bigger is better sometimes ;)

Changing my blog a bit.

I'm adding stuff to the side bar, so you can see how hard I'm trying to become crafty. Once I get some good projects finished, I'll add photos or maybe I'll just blog about them and put them in the link rather than the pattern.

I have discovered knitting, its portable and you can make some really cute stuff! We'll see if I get back to sewing on my machine, maybe I'll actually finish the quilt I started 2-ish years ago, lol.

But for now, its all about the knitting :)

Are you sure she is mine?

L is 10 and tall, very tall, atleast by my standards ;).

We decided to measure her yesterday to see how tall she really is. I think I liked not knowing for sure. Ignorance really can be bliss. I mean, I can just make sure not to stand up next to her and I'll pretend that her feet aren't the same size as mine or that her pants don't look almost as long as mine.

Anyway.....

She is 4 ft 10 inches tall. I am 5 ft 3 inches tall. Yeah, she'll pass me much sooner than I anticipated, crap :P. I needed that mental boost a bit longer.

"You listen to me young lady!" just doesn't sound as threatening when you are looking up at your child ;)

And I did a height predictor just now, it predicts that she will be 5 ft 9 at 18. I guess I should go measure my boys and see if they'll be lucky enough to be taller than their sister ;)

Edited to add:

It predicts that M will be 5ft 9 and Little Man will be 5 ft 8. Oh that makes me giggle. I'm pretty sure Little Man will be taller than M, just their body types, but we'll see :). Gotta make sure I save this and check in 12 years ;)

An unexpected bonus to homeschooling...

My kids are very negative and it drives me batty. So I decided that as part of their handwriting practice, or L's journaling, I'd have them write about things they like.

I told M to pick one person a day, from our family, and write 3 things he liked about them. Today was my turn...

"I like mom because I love her and she loves me a lot and becaues she plays with me a lot."

Too cute!

Yesterday was dad's turn...

"I like dad becaues he is cool. And because I love him. And because he plays with me a lot."

I can't wait to see what he says about his siblings, hehe.

My Life Monday

This weeks assignment, from Rachelle, is on pet peeves.

I worry that she has opened the flood gates, so I'm going to try and control myself :).

1. People that make noise while they eat. Any noise! (I know, I know).

2. Anyone bumping into the couch or chair that I'm sitting on. My kids do this a lot and it drives me crazy!

3. People being late, if you say you'll be here at 4, you better be here at 4!!

4. People getting in front of me on the freeway, or any road for that matter, and go slower than I am. Yes, I have lead foot, so what :P

5. Waiter/Waitresses taking my cup and refilling it and then bringing it back. Give me a new one! sick.

6. Employers not getting their employees w2's out in a timely manner!

Ok, I'll stop :)

p.s. for some reason I can't get the cute little logo thing to work.

Thursday, February 01, 2007

Check!

January is over! One month down, 2 to go (I hope, I hope) before we start in on mostly sunny days, or at least above freezing days!

I hate this time of year. Hate. I don't like being cold, I don't like snow, I don't like fog (or smog for that matter), I don't like clouds. I hate everyone being sick all the time.

I love the sun, oh sweet and bright and oh so warm sun! I'd move to Phoenix if my hunny could handle the heat ;).

Give me some green grass, pretty flowers and leaves on the trees and I'm one happy girl :)

Wednesday, January 31, 2007

Sometimes 10 years olds are awesome!

L has been in a new stage and I have to say that I'm enjoying it. She wants to cook, and cook everything. She made hard boiled eggs the other day (I supervised of course) and then blueberry muffins. Today she made mac n cheese for lunch. I think I'll show her how to make meatloaf so she can make dinner too :P

I'll just try to focus on this part and not the "2nd mom syndrome" she seems to have right now ;)

Monday, January 29, 2007

Yep

Another day of no desire to blog and nothing to blog about.

I decided that I needed to let my loyal readers know that I'm alive and kicking.

Homeschool is coming along well.

School for me is coming along well.

The family is pretty healthy.

Stu's job is going well.

The dust bunnies are coming along well. Ok, just seeing if you were really reading ;). I dusted last week and even vacuumed, yeah I know shocking!

I'm tired of brown air in the horizon, knowing that I'm breathing that lovely stuff.

I'm still in my pj's and its 4:45 in the afternoon. If I didn't have class tonight I would stay in my pj's the whole day ;)

Thursday, January 18, 2007

So cool!

I was taking the garbage out on my way to school and noticed some movement out of the corner of my eye. I dropped the garbage can lid, because its freaking freezing out! And saw something jump in our neighbors yard. I turned all the way around and saw a deer!! I ran up the steps and fumbled with the door trying not to scare the deer. I yelled "hunny, get the camera quick!" While waiting for him I noticed that there were 3 deer!!

The camera had dead batteries, dangit! So Stu ran to get new ones while I watched whispering to the kids "shh, don't scare them." One started walking toward the street and our street is really busy with no sidewalk on our side, so I said "don't go into the street." Cause deer understand english and would listen to me, duh. To my surprise it started walking into our yard! Woohoo, we might get a pic after all.

Stu got this picture...

before they ran down the hill and out of site.

I hope they found food or whatever it was they were looking for. They were so cute :)
and for Stu's version, click here.

Getting in a groove...

Last week was pretty hard, getting the kids into new routines and figuring out how much they could handle to learn. How much time could they sit and do work, how often did they really need breaks. How long should the school day last? etc etc etc...

Then this week the kids just fought. All. The. Time! It has been really cold here and snowy and just icky. Plus we've been dealing with illness too. I was about to throw in the towel and say, no more school for another week! Just let 'em battle it out for awhile ;)

Yesterday I decided to try a more relaxed approach and see how it went. I had L on once couch, M on the other and Little Man on starfall.com . It was so much fun and we covered a ton more material, so nice! Fighting was much less and I think they really enjoyed the day. I know I did!

Today we are going to the library and we'll do craft time and maybe some geography or history. Just a relaxed day.

Sunday, January 07, 2007

I have been tagged!

And it was by my own husband! He has been bugging me to post and with our new 2 O'clock church time, I have some time on my hands.

5 things you don't know about me, and if you already know these things then too bad ;)

1. I am a green belt in Shaolin Kempo, actually a green belt with a brown stripe ;). My next belt would be a brown belt. I only have 3 more belt tests before I would take my black belt test. But the prices went up and the kids became first priority so I no longer go to martial arts.

2. When I was a kid I wanted to become a chef. I even enrolled in the local community college right out of high school. But I didn't know how the whole financial aid thing went and when I saw the bill ($755 plus books) I freaked and dropped out before I even started. Embarassing, yes. I still love to cook but no longer want it to be my profession.

3. I hate my feet. They are wide and ugly and now that I'm a runner, they are bony and gross. Good thing there are a lot of cute shoes out there ;)

4. I cannot stand to hear people eating. It makes it really hard to eat in restaurants or with friends. My family is trained to be very quiet and if they aren't then watch out!

5. My high school ring, that I just had to have, has a naked woman on it. Its the "mascot" but still! I really don't need to see breasts every time I look at it :P

Ok, now I tag foodie, Olivia, musical mom, Sheri, and Heidi. Now go forth and complete your mission, don't forget to tag 5 more people, mwahahahahaha!

Tuesday, January 02, 2007

Ahh winter!

I promise to post some cute pictures of my kids, eventually ;). But for now I'll whine about the cold weather and the overcast icky days. I think I need Stu to hurry up and make a few million dollars so we can vacation in warm areas during this icky winter weather.

Little Man was sick last week, some stomach bug. I got something similar for about 24 hours on Sunday/Monday. M is now complaining about a headache and has a slight fever, which doesn't surprise me because he gets a fever with every illness. I just hope it isn't 105 this time, not cool.

And this afternoon I was reminded that I am human afterall and I'm getting old. I can no longer skip breakfast and have a few chocolates for lunch, if I do I'll get a migraine. Fun fun :P

Oh and Happy New Year :) hehe.

Yay, 5 miles!

I haven't been running very much in the last several months. I have not run over 4 miles since March 25th! So today I decided to run 5 miles and see how it felt. But as luck would have it, it snowed again last night so I had to go to the gym and run on the treadmill.

But I did it! 5 miles, very slow and tiring, miles!! Woohoo!

A bevy of monsters

Little man and his siblings got some modeling clay from their grandpa. I asked each of them what they were making. L was making people, M was trying to copy her ;) and Little man was making "a bevy of monsters" I said " a waht?" he said "a bevy of monsters."

I tried not to giggle and asked him where he learned about bevy. He said "it means a lot of monsters, mom" like I was a dumb adult :P. L said he learned it from the old McDonalds videos we have. Finally, all that tv/movie watching is paying off, lol.

I taught him that plethora means the same thing. He said this morning "dad, I have a bevy, plethora of monsters!" hehe.

Trans Siberian Orchestra

Stu and I were lucky enough to go to their concert and it was so much fun! Doba, the company that Stu works for, purchased enough tickets for the whole company to go if they wanted to. So we lined up a babysitter and ran out of the house as fast as we could. Ok, so we made sure the kids were fed and in pj's first and we did have a cell phone. But we were both so excited to go.

Here is one of their songs just incase you haven't heard of them before. I love listening to them while I workout.

Sorry, the video decided that it didn't want to work anymore. I'll put another one on here as soon as I find a good one.

Snow

We usually don't get that much snow at my house, atleast not at once. This pic was taken Sunday morning after two days of off and on snow.

And this is what happens when your 4 year old is so excited to play in the snow. He runs outside and falls down the cement steps. The goose egg is ginormous. The pic doesn't do it any justice. Poor kid.

Oh how sweet it is :)

To PASS your math 990 class when you are not smart when it comes to math and half your brain cells are gone since having children.

I needed 70% on the final to pass my math class (dumb rule by the math department) and I got a 70.83% hahaha. I don't care, I'm moving on, woohoo!!!

And I earned every point, especially after my morning. Which I'll post about later today or tomorrow.

Edit: I got a B+ in the class overall, fyi :)

One down, two to go!

Just took the last test for my psychology class, woohoo!!

I have a final review for math tomorrow then the final on Tuesday. And my final for my fitness class on Saturday morning, afterwhich I get to go to the ward Christmas party. Did I mention that it starts at 10am and my class should be over at 10:15am? and I have to run a mile and a half during said class. Ho Ho Ho Merry Stinky Christmas Neighbors :)

Edited to add:

Some spammer commented on my blog, dangit. So I added word verification, I hope thats enough.

Mom, who are those guys?

Me - "They are missionaries."

M - "Oh, missionaries going to school."

Me - "No, they carry their scriptures and stuff in their backpacks."

M - "Oh, I thought missionaries carried guns and were fighters."

I guess we need to have a talk about what missionaries do, though he may not want to be one as badly as he does now ;).

A sad day

My Uncle passed away this morning, in his sleep. He was 52 and has struggled with arthritis for many years. The drs don't know how he died, he has been in the hospital for a week because of a fall which resulted in two broken vertebrae. They think it may have been an aneurism but aren't sure. I guess it doesn't really matter now, he's gone.

Jeff was a strong man, he dealt with his fragile body better than most could have. He was a wonderful man.

I will miss him.

Wow, my faith in humanity is restored!

We have a neighbor across the street and they have a really large tree in their front yard with like a gazillion leaves on it. Last year the owners only raked them up when their driveway was so loaded that it was slippery and the wind blew half of them on our yard, made me pretty grumpy.

The owners sold their home this spring and the new owners came and raked up their leaves from my yard!! How cool is that? And they have really kept up with keeping the leaves at their house raked so we don't have a mountain of their leaves on our lawn :)

I had 4 big black garbage bags of leaves from our own trees to take care of today, so I was extremely happy that I didn't have to add theirs to the mix this year!

No, I'm not crazy.

I'm going to start homeschooling my kids. I have thought about it a lot for the last few weeks. The more unsatisfied I am with the kids school, the more I want to do something about it. M calls me daily and asks me to pick him up, his "tummy hurts", we've done everything we can think of to "fix" it and nothing is helping.

I know I can do a great job and feel like this is the best thing for us to do. I've immersed myself in everything home school related. I have books on how to transition, books on what level they should be at, what the differnt types of techniques are.

I'm going to start Little Man as well. So we'll get all three kids going and catching up to where they should be as well as advancing in areas they love.

I'm excited and ready to go. Though we will wait until January so I can finish my finals and get everything all set up. L can't wait to start many craft projects that we just haven't had time for, as well as baking! M just wants to be home where things can be faster paced and he can wiggle from time to time ;). Little Man has no idea what is going on, haha.

Dear Soldier

My kids PTA decided to have the kids draw a picture or write a letter to send to soldiers serving in Iraq. I told M about this and he decided to write his letter without my help. I'll put it in his way first and then decipher ;)

Dear Sholchrs

I like your figting but can I wach

Dear Soldiers,

I like your fighting but can I watch?

think he plays too many computer games? ;)

Edit: M just told me that I read it wrong, it is supposed to say.....

Dear Soldiers,

I like your fighting but I can't watch right now.

He needs to learn how to write in a fairly straight line rather than all over the page, haha.

Happy Birthday, Pumpkin! (and Halloween stuff too)

Miss L had her 10th birthday this past weekend. Of course I was sick, oh so sick, so our plans were thrown out the window. But she had lots of fun anyway :). Good thing too because there are no do overs, ha j/k.

Here is her "cake" on her birthday. (ignore the mess)

And here is her oh so professional cake that I made the next day.

And now for Halloween pics :) M is the Super Cheetah (same as last year), Little Man is an Elephant Fire Fighter (he wanted to be an elephant fire fighter monster puppy, um..yeah)

Sideways L is the Vampiress on the left, W is her cousin and B is her other cousin :)

Here is a sideways Little Man

And last but not least, a sideways M :)

Happy Birthday Doba!

Stu works for Doba and every year they have a "Doba Spirit Day" where everyone dresses up and other crazy stuff. This is the third "Spirit Day" and it gets better each time!

Here is Little Man as "The Incredible Hulk" according to him, but "Doba Dot Boy" according to many others at work ;)(the "O" in Doba is green, that is why everyone goes overboard with green!)

Here is one of the "activities" the Engineering group came up with....

And here is the back of Stu's head, pretty clever eh? ;)

29:55!

I did it! I finally broke 30 minutes running 3 miles! I've wanted to for so long but haven't quite had it in me. I felt like I was going to puke when I was done, lol. But I survived and I'm so happy :)

Halloween or Christmas?

I've always said that Halloween is my favorite holiday but somehow Christmas has topped the list. Don't get me wrong, Christmas is much more important than Halloween, but halloween was just more fun to celebrate.

I still love seeing all the costumes and decorations. I love my 4 year olds imagination and listening to him tell everyone what his costume is going to be. He came up with it himself and is very proud of that. He wants to be a monster fire fighter, he'll wear his firefighter costume but I'll paint his face green and turn his eyebrows brown, lol.

I come from a pretty big family, there are 7 siblings and now there are 10 grandkids to add to the mix. We do a gift exchange where we pick names out of a hat and buy for that person. About 4 years ago we were in a very tight financial situation, I had no idea how I would be able to provide any gifts at all that year. We were given many gifts and support from friends and family, showing me the true meaning of Christmas. That year I made all the gifts for the exchange and had a great time doing so.

Every year since I have tried to come up with creative gifts, some years it was food and I was surprised at how well some fruit snacks and cookies went over ;). This year I'm going to make everything again and got most of the supplies yesterday. I'm just giddy thinking about making all this stuff and knowing how well it will be recieved because it is personalized and comes from the heart.

Maybe if I put as much effort into costumes, Halloween would be a fave once again ;)

To all my peeps out there.....

I'm sorry that I haven't been commenting, for some reason blogger decided that I don't have an account anymore. I have tried everything I can think of it its not working. I guess its time to call on the big guns, my hunny and get him to fix it for me.

So, for now...I'm thinking of you and hope to comment soon. Kelly is adorable as always.
Jane its good to hear from you again. And I hope little Howie is doing much better today, poor guy.

Yippee!!

I got 100% on my last math test, woohoo!! I guess sitting next to Mr.Pee (he smelled so strong of urine, it burned my lungs!) for the test was good luck ;)

4 year olds are the best!

Little Man just makes me giggle all the time. I thought I'd share a few tidbits of my day.

"Mom, I need milk with my cereal or my eyes will pop out of my head. Hurry, give me milk!!"

"I got it mom, it almost got inside your ear!" (he said that when he was picking up a sticker off the floor.

"I'm so sick off!!!" me giggling quietly "you are what?" him "So SICK OFF!!!" me "oh, I'm sorry buddy, why?" him "Because you want to go to the gym!" I then realized that he meant pissed off, lol.

Pathetisad

I have a few pet peeves that I try to control, atleast in front of strangers :P.

One of which is someone touching and or moving my chair. In my math class we have rows of desks/chairs that touch each other front to back. I usually arrive early so I can move my chair up from the one behind it and move the one in front of it up so nothing is touching my chair (not real noticeable, just a few inches). Anyway, last night the girl behind me kept tapping on my chair with her foot. She must've had a song stuck in her head 'cause it had a beat to it.

I was going completely insane. So distracted I couldn't concentrate! I got very close to getting up and moving, lol.

Teacher "2x + 4y = 17 and 3x - 4y = 6 works.....

tap tap tap tap (me "stop doing that, should I move? will it be too rude to ask her to stop? Can I stomp her foot and get away with it?"

Teacher "addition method"......

tap tap, thump thump, tap "knock it off!! I can't stand it! Crap, what did he just say?"

Teacher "equals 6"

tap tap, "dangit!!"

Teacher "or multiply the whole thing by 2 to make it"......

tap thump tap thump thump thump, tap tap...."NOOOO!!!! ahhh...I can't stand it!"

sweet relief, she leaves early!!

Teacher "4x + 6y = 4 and -4x + 2y = 11 which method would work for this system of equations?"

Me "don't ask me, don't ask me, don't ask me" hehe

Fantastic run this morning!

I will be traveling tomorrow during my normal saturday class time so I had to take my class this morning instead. Stu has the day off of work so he was able to take the kids to school for me. I decided to run to class so that he could have the car and I'd get a workout in as well.

The run was fabulous!! Drizzling rain but not huge puddles or showers. Cold but not freezing. Quiet and dark. Just wonderful!! I really needed a run like this, to help remind me of why I enjoy running.

Then I found out that fridays class schedule is a bit different than saturdays, so I had to run for 30 minutes rather than the circuit training I had planned on, lol. Thats ok, I doubled the run I had planned and survived the bordom of being on a treadmill for 30 minutes stairing at a couple of trees out the window.

Pears, pears and more pears!

A lady in our neighborhood has about 50 or so pear trees in her yard, she has been trying to give them away for weeks. I got 2ish bushels of them at the beginning of the week and gave half away, I then decided to pick some more. I think I got 3 bushels this time, oops. I have already canned 20 qts and 7 pints of the pears and am maybe halfway done. Good thing we love pears.

I'm thinking of drying some pears too, we'll see. I may just drive a few blocks away and drop a bag off on random door steps, haha j/k. L's piano teacher said she'd love some, I may take her up on that ;)

WOO HOO!!

Freaking woot!! The season is over!! I have one more day of cleaning at work and I am finished! I'm so excited I could scream :)

I get my evenings back. No more smelling like smoke and grease. No more listening to my psycho boss put everyone down one minute and praise them the next. No more watching him suck up to the owners and general managers while following them around like a lost puppy.

No more dealing with a certain teenage employee that likes to mouth off, and finally on the last day of the season, get his butt whooped by a game spectator, ha.

No more getting yelled at because of high prices, hello!! Everyone has high prices now :P

WOOO HOOO!!!!

Sunday, September 10, 2006

Oh beautiful day!

Yesterday was cold and wet, not very fun! But today is gorgeous out! I love fall weather :)

And I canned 5 quarts of peaches, I forgot how much I love looking at freshly canned peaches. I can't wait until tomorrow when I get time to can some pears, woohoo!

My job is almost over (have a double header today, sigh)and I couldn't be happier. I've learned a lot about baseball and enjoy it more than I used to, but can't say that I'd pay to go to a game yet, lol.

Allergy season should be winding down soon, atleast I hope so. I'm miserable and so is little man, poor kid.

I am enjoying all three classes this semester, very surprising to me. So that is making it more fun :)

M lost two teeth in about a week! He feels very grown up and much richer :P

L also lost a tooth and is starting the fun hormone stage, wee!

Little Man gets to meet his speech therapist tomorrow, I sure hope he is nicer to her than he was to his last one ;)

Stu got a promotion at work, he is super busy now and seems to be thriving on the change of pace. He is getting to do things that he loves, teach. He is the new education person, so he trains employees and clients, perfect fit for him.

The end.

Talk like a pirate day is coming....

September 19th, arrr!

My pirate name is:

Captain Mary Flint

Even though there's no legal rank on a pirate ship, everyone recognizes you're the one in charge. Like the rock flint, you're hard and sharp. But, also like flint, you're easily chipped, and sparky. Arr!

I'm here.

I'm alive and surviving.

About two weeks of work left, working almost nonstop the whole time, but its all good.

School is going well for all three of us.

The house is a disaster.

I have a cold sore the size of my head.

Allergy season is among us.

The End.

For Shame!

I am tired of my messy desk, so I decided to shame myself by posting a pic of how it normally looks. I hope that it will help keep me motivated, lol.

My first project that was tackled while the older two kids were gone all day.

Lets see how long it lasts ;)

Wednesday, August 23, 2006

Woohooo! Freedom!!

And it is here! The older two are off to school and will not be done until 2:15, woot!

Little Man decided that he has to stand next to me all day "I don't know what to do, I need to play on the computer" So much for one on one time :P

ETA: I am also excited that I finally found pants to fit L. Miss long skinny legs is so hard to dress. We never find pants long enough and slim enough for her, look at that great fit, woohoo!

School!

Wednesday is the big day. I'm so excited for school to start and my kids are too! M is starting 1st grade and can't wait. He gets to eat school lunch, lol.

L is starting 4th grade, how in the heck is it possible for me to have a 4th grade? eek! She is excited as well. She can't wait to see her friends and for recess, ha.

I am excited to start school too. I am taking psychology, math (intro to algebra, I'm dumb) and fitness for life, weee! Its one step closer to getting my prereq's done so I can take my fun stuff.

And only a few more weeks of work left, can't wait for that to be done too! Those of you that work and go to school amaze me, I can't imagine doing this all the time. If I do need to work while in school, I hope its a desk job, lol.

I can't wait for peaceful days again, two in school full time....woohoo!! I think Little Man is just as excited, he'll be in charge of which cartoon he gets to watch, no one to share his toys with, he can draw and color without worrying about being told he is doing it wrong :P. Good times.

Camping Pics

I know, its about time I showed some of the fun we had a week or so ago. Hopefully blogger will allow some pics today.

This is a pic of all three kids "waiting" for me to set up camp before they go hiking.

This is the only pic I got of the kids with their pirate bandana's. I'm such a loser! Its M by the way, participating in the "swash bucket" relay.

This is L (on the left), my niece and her friend hanging out. My niece is only 13, yikes my sister is in trouble :P

And this last one is of me and my dad cooking dinner. Sadly, its the best pic of me.

I may add some more on another post. I don't want to press my luck though, lol.

ETA: the pics are all messed up, sorry about that. I didn't tell it to publish them like that, sigh.

Feeling out of control

I'm a creature of habit. I don't enjoy stepping out of my comfort zone, I like my routines and rarely deviate from them. Getting a job this summer has been an experienc. First I had to interview for the job, which I haven't done in years! Then I had to meet all these new people. I get a supervisor position (unofficially, but still) and have to boss people around. That of course comes naturally since I'm bossy :P I start getting into a nice routine at work and then the cook quits so now I get to add grilling to my duties.

I love, love cooking, so I was actually happy to hear I got to cook. But my boss apparently loves to cook as well, so he pushes me aside when he feels like cooking and expects me to just find something else to do. Um...alright I guess. But that throws off my routine, doesn't he know how that affects the rest of my night? sheesh! So I try not to let it get to me, but really, it does! I don't enjoy feeling inadequate, uncapable, stupid. almost childlike, I always feel like he thinks I'm incapable of cooking for 300 people so I should just stand there and pretend to be busy.

Today we have a catered gathering of 600 people. I am supposed to cook for the party and for my regular duties, but I know I'll get pushed aside once again and the order I have created will be thrown out the window. At the end of the night my concession stand will be off an unacceptable amount of money, in part because my routine is gone. I have a hard time remembering what needs to be done if its not in a certain order. My fellow employees are young teenagers and need guidance. I don't want to hear about how easy my stand is to run, how the numbers should match up almost perfectly, how I was saved by the boss since he stepped in and dill "all" the cooking for me.

Then lets add the food challenges for Little Man. For 4 years I've been very diligent about what goes into his mouth. I have cooked from scratch, purchased food ony after speaking with the manufacturer about certain things listed on their ingredients list. I read labels before I buy them and often times before I serve them to Little Man. If we go to someones house for meals, I read the labels there, I ask questions about how it was prepared or if it touched something else he can't have. But he is almost 4.5 years old, its time to see if he has outgrown the allergies so he can lead a normal life, well as normal as he can with me as his mother ;)

Little man has passed his oats challenge and his corn challenge. I haven't tried apricots, soy (except for some derivatives) or shellfish yet because I need some semblence of normal at home right now. He doesn't know what he is missing, so he wont care ;)

Only a few weeks left of work and then I can focus on my school routine instead. I can do it :P

Monday, August 07, 2006

Umm....fun?

This is what we ran into on our way home from camping yesterday. A fire next to the freeway which stopped traffic. We sat there stuck for 45 minutes before the highway patrol decided to kick us all off and sent us around parts of Utah I haven't been to in a long time. About 25 extra miles but 2 extra hours to the trip, fun fun.

Ramble

Today is my birthday, I am officially in my 30's. Its weird, I wasn't really looking forward to my birthday, but now that its here its cool, lol. I don't feel old and I still feel like I wont be old until I hit my 70's, so why did turning 31 make me nervous? no idea.

We are heading down to southern utah tomorrow for my family reunion. We will be enjoying some nice hot and dry weather ;). I look forward to hanging out with family and watching them all get drunk, ha. Lots of activities planned to keep the kids busy and hopefully out of trouble. We'll be close to a lake for swimming and cooling off and I get to go arrowhead hunting, I absolutely love finding arrowheads :)

Our basement keeps flooding, stupid old house and pipes. Our landlords, are of course, out of town, so we have been dealing the best we can. We are supposed to go watch a movie tonight, without kids, but may forgo it in order to finish the clean up and packing. It is taking much longer than planned since I have to ration how much water goes down the drain :S

I am handling my vitamins well now that I eat a full meal when I take them. I was going to switch to nighttime since thats when I had to take my prenatals, but I don't go to bed at the same time and some nights I'm awake for hours and I know puking would commence. I'm feeling a bit more energized today so I hope I'll be back to my normal self next week, just in time for a long work week and M's 6th birthday.

School starts in 20 days, not that I'm counting down ;). And I'm very excited! Two in school full time and maybe preschool for little man, very cool.

Edited to add:

We started the corn food challenge on Sunday. This is Little Man eating his first popcorn, ever! I had to snap a pic and then make him eat it away from me. I felt so bad giving corn to him, it has been 4 years of fiercely watching everything he eats and here I am giving him something that would cause him so much pain if he was still allergic. So far so good though :) woohoo!!

I'll take being tired...

I am borderline anemic and have been very very tired lately. It doesn't matter how much I sleep, how well I eat or how much or little I do, I'm tired! So I decided to get a multi vitamin with iron to try and help out with the tiredness. I read that calcium can make it hard for iron to be absorbed by the body. So I decided to take it with breakfast this morning since I don't usually have milk with it. I took the vitamin while my bread was toasting and I wouldn't recommend that, lol.

I ended up puking in the kitchen garbage can just after buttering my toast :P

I'm thinking tomorrow I'll eat first or better yet, just sleep all day and let the kids trash the house and my hunny can clean it up while I sleep some more :P

Funny Kids

M and L were talking about food they like. L said she doesn't like pickles so M says "If you don't like pickles, I can't marry you." and L says "we can't get married anyway, you are my brother." and M says "I wouldn't because you don't like pickles." so there :p

Little man is really into super heros right now and decided that he has super powers. "mom, don't call me little man, call me BIRD NECK! I have super powers." Ok, bird neck.

L saw a commercial for the Benchwarmers DVD. "Dad, can we rent the benchwarmers when it comes out?" Stu says "what is it about?" and L says "its about these guys that warm benches and play baseball." ha, warm benches.

Update on the food challenge.

Little Man has passed the food challenge!!!! I am so excited, I don't know what to do with myself, haha. I think I'll make homemade granola again, woot!

I am working this week, so I decided to hold off on the apricot challenge until next week when I can actually function.

Happy Dancin' at my house!!

Could it be?

After 4 years of being very vigilant about what goes in Little Mans mouth, could he really be outgrowing all his allergies?

We did an oat food trial this weekend, no signs at all of any reactions! I'm going to give it a few more days, but I'm very optimistic. His reactions to oats before hit within a couple of hours, so going days is fantastic!

I plan on trying apricots this weekend and then we'll probably take a break for a week or so after that and try the big guns, soy and then corn. Frankly, I'm quite scared to try soy and corn, so I'll take the other challenges first.

So far he has outgrown his milk allergy, tried eggs for the first time at the age of 3.5 and we've tried fish this past year as well. His food options are getting so big, I may be able to actually cook a meal without reading the ingredients list first. I don't remember when I was able to do that before. I'm giddy :)

Bliss, pure bliss!!

Guess what I got today!! If I could post a giant smiley face, I would ;).

Our washing machine died over a week ago. The mountain of dirty laundry kept getting bigger and bigger, I think we ended up with a pretty impressive mountain range actually, hehe. To my utter amazement my father-in-law bought another front loader washer. He said the price was too good to be true so he couldn't pass it up. Luckily enough for us, Stu's siblings all had working washing machines so we got the "old" (less than 4 years old) front loader, woo-freaking-hoo!!!

Here is the beauty, isn't she gorgeous? :)

I have done almost every dirty article of clothing, sheets, towels and blankets in my entire house! I have two loads to go. Why is this so amazing? It should've taken me two days to do this much laundry since I was so far behind. I seriously sit and watch the washer spin, so relaxing and amazing to me, hehe.

I think I may actually do a happy dance once the laundry is all put away tonight. Woot!!

A heart wrenching story

I don't know if you have heard of "Team Hoyt" its a father/son team that enters triathlons (like the ironman) and marathons and the like. The dad does all the physical work but the son is the inspiration. Its truly amazing what these two accomplish.

This is a great tribute to them.

Makes me tear up anytime I read an article or see an interview with them.

I'll edit this post later if I can find the latest article that explains things better than I.

Blah's

It seems that I have nothing to blog about. I'm not a very good writer, so I can't turn day to day things into a funny post. So here I sit staring at the screen thinking I should blog, but coming up with nothing to say.

L wanted her hair cut yesterday, I made her wait the whole day incase she decided to change her mind. She didn't until after we were done, lol. Its really cute if I do say so myself, just a regular bob haircut.

Little man decided to fix his hair yesterday, went in the bathroom and got a brush wet (with water, phew, lol) and "spiked" his hair. Tried to get a pic, but he caught me, lol.

M saw me take a pic of little man and wanted a pic of himself cleaning his room. I guess he wants proof that he does listen from time to time ;).

See........nothing to really blog about. But I get a gold star for trying, right? ;)

Poor little M

M was sobbing laying on the couch, we all tried to figure out what was bothering him so much, with no luck. I finally got him to tell me what was wrong. "My Peter Rabbit toy doesn't work, I miss it!" I hold him and hug him for awhile, trying not to gigle the whole time. I'm not cruel, its just funny how randomly he'll be so upset over stuff like this.

The Peter Rabbit toys battery died over a year ago, ha!

4, 5 and 6 hours

Thats how much sleep I've had the last 3 nights. 3 days of work down 4 more to go. I'm so tired. I just sit here at my desk spacing out, accomplishing nothing. I've tried napping and just can't :(

I stupidly told L that I'd take her and her cousin swimming today because last week I wasn't able to. Now all I want to do is sleep, not spend my afternoon at the local pool with atleast 4 kids to watch, sigh.

I am reading everyones blogs still, but I'm too lazy to comment most of the time. I do have all of next week off, so watch out, lol.

Because I'm the Queen and I said so!

I made a joke yesterday about Daddy having to listen to me because I'm the Queen. Here is the following conversation that I had with M, my soon to be 6 year old.

M "You are the Queen? Then Daddy is the King and Kings rule the Kingdom."
Me "Nope, thats what they want you to think. But the Queen usually tells the King what to do."
M "Yeah because kings are usually old, fat and just sit on their throne. Queens are young, pretty and smart."
Me "Yep, thats right. But not all Kings because Daddy works hard and itsn't fat, right?"
M "YEAH!" hehe

Thats my boy :)

I got pulled over today, eek!

I was speeding, accidentally (mostly, hee). I usually got about 5 over the speedlimit, unless its a school zone, but I was going down a hill and went 33mph in a 25mph zone. I realized it and looked up to see a police officer, crap!

So he pulls me over, after doing a semi dangerous move, but I guess its ok since he's a cop ;). And asks about my license plate, phew! Our new license plates had yet to arrive and our windows are tinted so dark that he couldn't see the temporary tag. Luckily I'm a good driver, usually :P, so I had no tickets on my record or any warrants, hee! So he let me go and told me to call on my license plates.

I had dh call, he is awesome, and the plates were in. Now I'm totally legal and happy again :)
